Why a Container? |

|
Living conditions in Zimbabwe are tough. Political struggles have resulted in a significant deterioration in the quality of life for the local people. Hyper inflation, drought, excess rains and political turmoil have resulted in severe shortages of food, fuel, electricity, drugs and medical supplies. School supplies are also non-existent and a container represents a tremendous opportunity to provide much needed medical equipment and supplies and material to the 3 schools that Sylvia has worked with since 1992. Sylvia travels periodically to Tshelanyemba to engage in development projects, taking with her as many rare school supplies as possible in a large hockey bag. This project provides an opportunity to continue her work in the area and bring over MANY hockey bags at once. The container also makes it possible to ship medical equipment that the hospital deperately needs and this is one of the main purposes of the container.
