Fireworks

The first two pictures (thumbnails) above are scans from Kodak print film. All other photos on this page are direct scans from Kodak Extra Colour slide film. I have no specific notes for each photo since shooting fireworks is more or less an experiment with light and time. You never how it will turn out. 

I do have a few tips however: Whenever I shoot fireworks, I always use my remote release and tripod. What has worked also is singling out individual colours. For example, the green top middle photo and the red one at left middle.

To make photos more interesting, try framing them, having people, trees or buildings silhouetted in front of the display. And don't be afraid to zoom in rather than have everything in the frame, and make sure your tripod is secure.
