COMOX DINGHY SAILING SCHOOL 2011
Youth and adults can learn to sail Laser and 420 dinghies in Comox Harbour's sheltered waters.  This easy-to-learn Canadian Yachting Association (CYA) 'White Sail' program emphasizes on-the-water sailing practice and classroom theory.  An experienced CYA-certified instructor teaches sailing in two-person 420's and one-person Laser dinghy sailboats.  CYA curriculum handbooks will be provided.  CYA certificates will be awarded to students completing these 'White Sail' Level 1, 2, and 3 courses. Again in 2011 we are offering CYA Bronze Level IV.
WS III is a prerequisite for Bronze IV. Anyone who is relatively fit, agile and who enjoys being on the water can learn to sail dinghies.  It's a sport enjoyed by sailors of all ages, from youth to seniors.  Sponsored by the Comox Bay Sailing Club, the Comox Valley Yacht Club, and the Courtenay Recreation Commission.
