Old Updates

July 31 : Oh ya! Ahhmm lazy! But here's a delicious new link to simian intergalactic adventures with a clean and classic aesthetic! I give you (drumroll please) GALACTIC CHIMP!!

July 16 : It's been 2 months of constant struggle with my heap of circuitry and I think I may finally have it licked. The future looks bright and I expect the site to resume a state of normalcy (uh, if that word can apply to a shrine dedicated to fictional apes!). I will be mucking about with some superficial aspects before getting back to adding more content - but keep checking in cuz there will be more gorilla madness in the near future.

May 16: Things are finally returning to normal. After a month of cybernetic trauma, my system seems back on track and the Cover Gallery updating is underway. A through D have been reworked - there is a slight loss in image quality but this has made posting many more previously unseen covers possible. I don't think you will be disappointed.

April 23 : Well, my sanity and my lost files have been restored. The gallery updating will resume sometime in the near future. In the meantime, here's a Double Feature at Simian Masterpiece Theatre Take the time to enjoy "Secret of the Man-Ape!" and "Giant Orang".

April 13 : DISASTER STRIKES GORILLARAMA!! All plans to add more scans this month have been crushed by my poor judgement and the efforts of some asshole floating out there in cyberspace. Shortly after installing a new OS I managed to get myself a worm that resulted in a near total loss of the work done on this site and the proposed Gorilla Film site. Let me offer a hearty 'Screw you geek!!' to the punks that cook up crap like this. I shall pick up the pieces and build again. My goal to usher in an era of Gorilla Cover Nirvana will not be undermined, only postponed.

April 3 : The cover gallery will be undergoing some refurbishing over the next couple of weeks as I attempt to make some room for the oodles of new covers that have been piling up. Some of the current scans are being replaced with smaller sized files of a similar quality. I will also probably add some thumbnail sized scans that although small, are just too fun not to include. The more monkeys the merrier! If you've been visited before, be sure to refresh a few times to replace the cached images in your system.

March 18 : Goddammit!!! Nothing like bad weather to spoil a picnic! Internet service was interrupted today and this page was down for several hours - just when the party was getting started....anyhoo. There's new pics in Printed Matter, just refresh the page and enjoy if you've been before.

March 15 : Two consecutive days of updates! With all the traffic stompin' through my door I figure I should spruce up the place a bit. There's new stuff in the Ape Art Show and some new links on the main page. You must check out Jeff Parker's 'Ape Company' - simply put, the best damn ape story I've read in a loooong time. Take the link to his site and click on the simian mug above 'war story'.

March 14: Holy crap! I've been blogged into the limelight. The past 4 days saw as many hits on this site as in the past 4 months since it's creation. Thanks to anybody who felt like sharing my efforts with others and posted a link. The home page introduction has been reworked and hopefully is a bit more relevant than the first one that was haphazardly scribbled down months ago. Hopefully I will cycle some new covers in by months end.

March 5 : Another wing on the Ape Art Show has been added with some awe inspiring simians by Mike Mignola, Bill Wray, Frank Brunner and more! Head directly to the new showroom.

February 11 : Konga has arrived!! A new addition to the Character Bio's and required 3 pages to squeeze in all that giant ape love! Enjoy.

January 29 : A new cover in the Spotlight. From 1969,  African antics with Judy the Chimp and a runaway ostrich named Ossi! Check it out!
