Colin McKay is certified by the Canadian Red Cross to teach both the Babysitters Course (11 - 17 years) and the Red Cross People Savers Program for children from age 6 to 12 years. With the assistance of a number of dolls, a terrific Power Point presentation and a number of other teaching aids Colin has taught the Sitter's course for a number of years in both Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam. He has recently finished teaching the People Savers program to all children from grade 1 - 5 in a Coquitlam elementary school (a portion of the student Health IRP). For several years he has also hosted a program, the Babysitters Apprentice Program, in Port Moody that provided first time certified babysitters with paid and supervised work experience. Colin has worked in the field of child care for the past 12 years. He has been employed with the same employer for most of that time and and now shares a co-manager position. Colin's presentation is professional and easy for his students to follow. He is keen to share his experience and knowledge with those who wish to enter the child care field and with those who feel safety training is very important. He firmly believes that knowledge and practice can save lives
