Fill up your water bottles here in Rubble Creek, but be sure to treat
it with either a filter or chemicals. Outhouses are also available
if you need to take care of business before you hit the trail. A
bulletin board at the trailhead has an excellent map of the trail and the
entire park in general. Also, any messages about bear sightings or
other pertinent information will be posted here as required. Be sure
to lock any belongings left behind in the trunk of your car. I've
personally never had any problems with theft or vandalism, but you can
never be too careful. After a gear check and leg stretch, you're
ready to hit the trail located at the east end of the upper parking lot.
