The Fun Way to Learn, Canskate is Skate Canada’s flagship learn-to-skate program - the only national program of its kind - designed for beginners of all ages. Developed by experts to teach the fundamentals of skating in a progressive and sequential manner, CanSkate focuses on fun, participation and basic skills development. Participants earn badges and other incentives as they learn fundamental skating skills.

LEARN FROM THE PROS

CanSkate features group lessons led by a National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) certified processional coach. Professional coaches are assisted by trained Program Assistants. The coach to student ratio is a max of 1:10.

LEARN AT YOUR OWN PACE

CanSkate lets skaters progress at their own pace. Coaches make sessions active using teaching aids, music and a wide variety of activities that create a fun environment and promote learning.

Skating is the most important part of playing hockey. Before you learn to skate with all the gear, Cochrane Skating Club offers a great Learn to Skate and Canskate program for kids just getting started on the ice.
