I have been hiking, backpacking, city walking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing with the Calgary Outdoor Recreation Enthusiasts (CORE) since the club started in 1999. Most of our members live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and we enjoy outdoor pursuits primarily in the Canadian Rockies.

Highlights of the seven years that I've been hiking with CORE:

    Backpacking the Chilkoot Trail - Aug. 2003        

    Overnight trips to Skoki Lodge, Elizabeth Parker, Stanley Mitchell Hut, Sundance Lodge, Lake O'Hara

    Group Camps in Kananaskis Country, esp. the time we woke up surrounded by cows

    Our potluck suppers, esp. those held at the Ribbon Creek Shelter
