STUFF ABOUT ME!

HI THERE! My name is Craig Limber and these are my web pages.

I am 48 years old and spend my days managing the Data Centre Infrastructure Core services team at Shaw Communications and building as many pieces of furniture/robots/airplanes/doodads as I possibly can in the evenings and weekends.

My likes: cats, computers, science-fiction and Fantasy novels building, flying model airplanes (both remote control and "freeflight"), electronics, photography and about a hundred other geeky hobbies.

My favourite authors are: Fred Saberhagen, Raymond Feist, Isaac Asimoc, Arthur C Clake, Tom Clancy and Larry Niven.

For music I'm all over the place: Rob Zombie, Robert Palmer, Sarah Brightman, Scorpions, Stone Temple Pilots, Heart, Boston, Nightwish, Supertramp, Madonna, The Cranberries, Iron Maiden, The Tea Party, Visions of Atlantis, Abba, Alice in Chains, Bach, Billy Idol, Bond (the English String Quartet) and the like.

Physically, I'm just under two meters tall (about 6'6"), blonde and wear glasses. I'm into the fitness thing but not fanatically so. I like to go for the occasional run, hike or ride my bike. At work we have a daily bootcamp during the lunch break. I rather like these. In fact, I like them so much that I volunteered to join the team leading them. I run the friday boot.

I do hereby give you my solemn promise that my web pages will never be burdened with any of the banes of enjoyable web surfing: javascript, java, noises, animated gifs or, most importantly, MACROMEDIA FLASH; the most annoying technology the human race has ever come up with.

Fortunately a couple of years back I discovered how to stop auto-running flash with a plugin. GLORIOUS!!!

I hope visiting aliens who visit our world have similar plugins for their browsers. Otherwise any critters advanced enough to fly between worlds would take one look and blow us to hell. I suspect the end of our race would unfold like this (imagine the voice of Futurama's Lrrr from Omicron Persei 8):

"Hmmmm, these humans have a rich and diverse culture so perhaps they are worth contacting. Their widespread use of their 'Internet' also speaks well of their desire to disseminate knowledge. This is good.

"Wait. This web page has moving and jiggly things on it and I can't make them stop! THIS CONFUSES AND INFURIATES ME! DESTROY THE HUMANS IMMEDIATELY!!!"

ZAAAAAAPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!

So, if there are any aliens reading this and would like to save the expense of vaporizing us I highly recommend the following plugins and addons:
