40 days after Christmas... And behold
there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon, and this man was just and devout,
waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Ghost was in him... he took
the child Jesus into his arms, and said... now dismiss thy servant... my eyes
have seen Thy salvation... a light to the revelation of the gentiles...

letters of St Paul and close to 200 texts of the four Evangelists. It is
further suggested that "reading alone" is insufficient ... if
NOT followed with meditations.
