Ascension takes flight 40 days after the Resurrection. The Son returns to His Father, the disciples convenes on Mt Olives facing the Calvary where He was crucified. Five hundred witnesses are present. He rises while blessing the assembly and reasserts the Eternal Life.

 

In the second part (and at the end) of the Canon, the minor Elevation glorifies the Holy Ghost, and testifies to the honor and the glory of the Trinity. The fruit of Hope will soothe the apprehensions of the disciples.
