Within
the Last Supper, one cannot object that OLJC wanted to institute
"NOT a sacrifice" ... but a commemoration only of ... the same EASTER
LAMB, as once before crucified and bleeding to death upon the cross.
In
the mass the Sacrifice is
re-offered and consumed under the appearances of the Host. Every day we celebrate
the "Easter-Resurrection".
In
the above mentioned circumstances, OLJC had "no more" the intention to
appear "poor", the celebration was executed into a large hall
... "Do this for a commemoration of ME."
I Cor. XI, 24.
This
is the institution of the Priestly Sacrament of ORDER. The precursor was
Melchisedech in a way similar to St John the Baptist to OLJC. The Order
here is to "never" subordinate the supernatural values to the
superficial values of sensitivities. Within the Calvary, only God is
actively both the sacrificer and the victim. Our priests of the RC Church
each become the PERSONNA CHRISTI in the area that is sacred (ie: the
Sanctuary).
The
first Alliance with Israel had been a long story of alternative
succession of infidelities and repentances ... "Behold says the
Lord, a time is coming when I will ratify a new covenant with the people
of Israel, and with the people of Juda. It will not be like the covenant
which I made with their fathers, on the day when I took them by the
hand, to rescue them from Egypt; that they should break my covenant, and
I should abandon them. No, this is the covenant...
Hebr. VIII, 8-13.
citing: Jer. XXXI, 31-34.
In
stating a "new" alliance, God is inferring that the Old one
will soon be "fulfilled" where the spiritual Charity will
"complete" the previous Law. It will be "eternal"
because the heavenly values will supersede the materialistic
thirst.
