The substance of the bread becomes the BODY of OLJC, thus the consecration of
the Host. Here we are witnessing the greatest oblation, or Sacrifice to redeem
the sinful creature. This Holy Sacrifice is the highest form of action.
OLJC, the Grand-Priest of the New Alliance who "priestly" yields to
the Father... both being present.

Then he took bread, and blessed and
broke it to them, saying, This is my body, given for you; do this for a
commemoration of me.
Lk. XXII, 19 ...

ADORATIONS
(see:
Resurrection) |

It was
this Melchisedech, king of Salem, and priest of the most high God, who met
Abraham and blessed him on his way home, after the defeat of the kings;
and to him Abraham gave a tenth of his spoils ... and it is beyond all
question that blessings are only given by what is greater in dignity to
what is less ...
Hebr.
VII, 1, 7 and ...
And he,
priest as he was of the most high God, brought out bread and wine with
him, and gave him this benediction, On Abram be the blessing of the most
high God, maker of heaven and earth ...
Gen.
XIV, 18, 19

In their common
ancestor, Abraham, all of the Levi's "coming priestly tribe"
must take second rank to the
priestly pre-eminence of OLJC that was "prefigured" by
Melchisedech.
The Holy Scriptures
are silent as to the origin and death of Melchisedech, he is there without
mother and or father, no genealogy. He is priestly from a
"personal" point of view, and not related to the Levi's
tribe.
OLJC is also
"independently" priest and His hypostatic union of the two natures
is insoluble; His prieshood is eternal.
