Transportation Experience

Avery's Transportation division has grown substantially since its beginnings as a lowbed service only.  It has now grown to include many different types of services including vans, lowbeds, flatbeds, and other specialties. Avery has extensive experience in all sorts of situations and is capable of hauling pretty much anything ranging from things like steel, wood, and paper to heavy machinery to aggregates.  We can permit in all Provinces and Territories, as well as the United States.

Several of the tractor van units are dedicated to hauling finished paper goods from St. Mary's Paper Ltd. to destinations throughout the United States giving the company an excellent opportunity to backhaul goods back to Canada from all over the States.

Other major customers include Essar Steel and Algoma Tubes as well as many other local companies.  Finished product from these mills is hauled throughout Ontario for the most part with the occasional trips to Western Canada and the United States.  Backhauls usually consist of various flatbed loads, with several tractor units with various capacities up to 80,000 lbs dedicated to this haul.

Avery also hauls logs from the harvest areas to the mills and also has a unit dedicated to haul trusses manufactured by Soo Mill throughout Ontario and Michigan.

The final component, of course, is the lowbed service.  Hauls consist largely of heavy equipment to and from destinations throughout Canada and the United States.  Customers include construction firms, logging firms and heavy equipment factories and dealers.  Trailers can be configured to haul numerous sizes and weights to meet customer needs.
