I think this lady has an interesting expression and a bit of an Audrey Hepburn look - I was interested in capturing the elegance and poise of Audrey Hepburn. I painted this completely from my imagination, without looking at anything (though I did have a good Cohiba cigar as an inspiration). The colors are bright and vibrant and there are many different hues of colors that cannot all be accurately seen in a photo on your computer monitor. Also, different lighting (i.e. morning light, afternoon light, artificial light) will emphasize different hues of the colors in the painting.
