~Short Bread Cookies~

1 lb butter 1 cup sugar 3 1/2 - 4 cups flour Creme butter until smooth. Beat in sugar. Stir in flour and knead. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness and cut with cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and top with half a red cherry and bake at 400 degrees until bottoms are a very light brown.
