On Live From Dublin: A Tribute To Derek Bell, Ireland's acclaimed musical ambassadors, The Chieftains, are joined in by a host of special guests, to celebrate the life and legacy of one of its most beloved and long time former band members. Recorded live at Ireland's premier performing venues, the Gaiety Theater and National Concert Hall, in the spring and summer of 2004, Live From Dublin has over an hour of music, most of which is heard for the first time on this historic recording. Including the moving track, "Derek's Tune", composed by The Chieftains Paddy Moloney as a fitting send-off for the late Derek Bell, who died unexpectedly in 2002. It was in 2004 that The Chieftains began to stage a series of special tribute concerts, in memory of Derek Bell, that were broadcast live on Irish radio and resulted in Live From Dublin.
