This is the last recording to feature Peadar Mercier on the bodhran. This album features Kerry Polkas, Kerry Slides, The Humours of O'Carolan which consists of a selection of tunes by Turlough O'Carolan, and Breton music. My favorite track is "Samradh, Samradh" (Summertime, Summertime). If one lets his imagination paint the picture you can actually see the seasons change. Being from North Dakota in the United States, I can certainly understand why Paddy Moloney did not write about winter. It is no picnic. It is also the second album where the Chieftains have used a musical piece for solo salutes.

I am disappointed that Shanachie did not include the photo
of the Chieftains that appears on the original Island Records release.
It is a good photo showing all the members in a cicular photograph
with a claddagh at the bottom. The claddagh stands for friendship,
loyalty and love. Friendship among the members, loyalty to the music
and love of the music. It is too bad that people cannot see Paddy
Moloney in a hot pink shirt and shoulder lenght hair. It would have
been a great photo to have included on the album cover.
