The Chieftains 3, their third album. They now have their established sound. This album is also the first to have a guest artist on the album, Pat Kilduff, he joins Peadar on The Hunter's Purse with his lilting. This album also has many airs which the Chieftains do a good job of, particularly An Ghaoth Aneas with Michael on the concertina. They also do Lord Inchiquin with Paddy and Seán Potts on whistles, another good example of them playing together, and their unique sound. Overall a nice slower album. This album also shows the group experimenting with possibilities in arrangement and pacing while still staying true to the tradition.
