What do strugling playwrights, supermodels, students and security guards have in common? Almost all of them drink a lot of coffee.
So do I. Which is why I decided to create my own tribute to the most widely accepted drug
on the market in its most popular form. This page was primarily fueled by Starbucks Italian roast brewed in a Braun 12-cup drip
coffee maker.
Mmm Coffee! is divided into two sections: thoughts (my own) and links (my favourites on the subject)

First let me say, I am not a coffee purist. I know a lot of you are scoffing at me, but I don't care. I like coffee more for its flavour than its effect, so yes, I actually drink decaf. And don't try to tell me your palate can detect the difference. If you start with a decent blend and brew it strong it tastes just as good!
I have also been known to sling back cups of instant coffee with non-dairy creamer and too much sugar; steaming mugs of Cafe International flavoured coffees; strange pseudo-coffee drinks like the Orange Julius Mocha smoothie; and fast food companies' dark-water substitute for coffee (though only under extreme duress).
I favour the drip method of coffee-making although I also own a Mr Coffee espresso machine, a funky Italian stovetop espresso maker, a Bodum coffee press, and an old Corning percolator (which may be missing some crucial part because the last pot was all grounds!). I own a coffee grinder, but I am lazy so I tend to buy my beans ground and store them in the freezer -- don't fret; two pounds of coffee doesn't last long in this house.
Oh yeah. There is one thing I am a purist about. The word espresso does not have an X in it. It's pronounced es-PRES-so not ex-PRESS-o which makes it sound like an overnight delivery company!

These are my favourites -- including the companies whose coffee I most frequently buy -- so these are not in any particular order.
