Build Your Own Power Transmission The inventor wants to share the knowledge of the new technology to the world. We believe the world must learn this emerging technology and some law of physics should be examined especially the law of thermodynamics. We hope this new discovery can help our problem in climate change, energy and oil crisis. We encourage you to build your own power transmission for experiment and personal use. However, if you want to manufacture the new power transmission for distribution and business, please obtain a technology license. Your support will help to cover the expenses occur from the research and development of the new power transmission technology and other projects. You could build the new power transmission made of plastic or nylon. It would not cost you a lot of money. To test the speed, in every one turn of the input shaft, the output shaft should turn one and a half. To test the torque, you need two digital torque wrenches, one for the input shaft and one for the output shaft connected to both ends. During the last prototype test using wrenches, the output shaft torque measurement was greater than the input torque measurement when driving the digital torque wrench connected to the output shaft. Driving the digital torque wrench connected to the input shaft gives the output shaft less torque measurement because torque wrench measures potential energy not kinetic energy or not the centrifugal force of the planetary gears (see the new overdrive operation of planetary gear set for more explanation). Still, the best way to test the power transmission prototype is by using a dynamometer. The prototype is currently in the process of dynamometer testing. You may want to wait first for the test result before building your own. Normal Input/output Test using torque wrench Input Output Torque wrench in normal input/ output test gives not exact reading. The reverse sun gear and planetary carrier drive the planet gears but the reverse sun gear is being held and the planetary carrier produces splitting force that resulting decrease in torque similar to the present overdrive operation. Reverse Input/output Test using torque wrench (Output shaft is input and input shaft is output) Input Output Torque wrench in reverse input/output test has a literal reading where the planet gears drive the reverse sun gear and the planetary carrier. The sun gear of the front planetary gear set must be bigger than the sun gear of the main planetary gear set in order for the reverse sun gear gets more speed.
