Fidelis tamen solvo
Updated 11 July 2007
My ancestors immigrated from England to New England in the early 1600's.
William and Rebecca Addington Chamberlain settled in Billerica (Worburn),
Middlesex, MA. Their second youngest son, Daniel, was born in Billerica.
Daniel married Mary (unknown). One of Daniel's sons was Ephraim Chamberlain
born in Billerica, MA. Ephraim married Anna Merriman and resided in
Northfield, Franklin, MA. Shortly after the American Revolution,
Ephraim's son, my third great grandfather, Theophilus Chamberlain , immigrated
to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Theophilus' grandson, James Robert Chamberlain,
died in 1900 in Ottawa, Ontario. The family moved to the west coast in 1910
where there are currently over 90 descendants of James Robert Chamberlain in
the US and Canada. A partial family tree can be found at Y-Search
The World Chamberlain Society is a charted, non-profit corporation whose purposes are to preserve Chamberlain family heritage, to promote genealogical research, to promote interaction between Chamberlains world wide, to prepare and publish family history materials, and to hold annual reunion meetings. There is also a Discussion Board at the site.
If you wish information on the descendants and ancestors of Theophilus Chamberlain, please contact me at Chamberlain Genealogy.
