Joined Army in 1953 as an Infanteer with the Algonquin Regt 2nd Canadian Infantry Battalion Valcartier PQ, rebadged to Guards in 1954 and remusterd to Cook in 1954  Served with 3rd Bn Canadian Guards until disbandment of 3rd Bn in 1957, posted to 8th Canadian Hussars Gagetown 57-59 as a cook.  Posted to 3 Sigs Sqd 59-63 Gagetown promoted to Cpl.  Served in Egypt Sept 63-Sept 64. Served with various units, 4th Field Amb  CFB Borden 64-66  Promoted to Sgt, posted to1RCHA Germany 66-69 3 Sigs Sqd 2nd tour 69 posted to 4 Field Amb dates till 74.  CFB Ottawa, Rockcliff 74_76  Promoted to WO and posted to 1 PPCLI, Calgary 76-80 served in Cyprus 78 with Bn.   Posted to GATES German Army  Commissary CFB SHILO 80-82.  Promoted to MWO and posted to CFB North Bay, July 82, Det posting Air Comd tasking to CFS Alert Jan-July 83, then to retirement Oct 7th 1983.  Served 30 Years 8 Months.
