For a number of years the club has attended and exhibited at model railway events. Since this page is only four years old, the record does not go back past 2007.

Supertrain in 2011 showed again the old favourites of Much Muddling II (but with new grass, fences, hedges, station platforms, point motors, control panel) and Thomas the Tank. However, the Wildwood Model Railway Group produced their own new layout, and we also saw Nigel Knight's Kingsley & Frogall layout, although the latter has no relationship with the CBRM.

In April 2010, as usual, we attended Supertrain, and Much Muddling II was again exhibited. This time we had added more scenery, and point motors to the front board. Some of our members brought their own layouts: Ian's Thomas the Tank layout, Peter's Iffenwen Junction, and Euan (one of our younger friends) brought his layout.

In April 2009 Much Muddling II was again exhibited the Supertrain in Calgary. after much work improving the scenery and the fiddle yard controls. The weather cooperated this time, being sunny and warm and that seemed to improve the attendance. Ian brought his Thomas the Tank layout, which is always a favourate of the kids.

In April 2008 the club attended and exhibited the Supertrain in Calgary. We were most pleased with the new venue, its space, parking, and other facilities.

Peter Johnson brought Leyburn to Supertrain in 2008. Leyburn was featured in the February and March 2008 issues of British Railway Modelling magazine. The layout depicts the Wensleydale station in a hard winter setting in January 1954 (the last winter before cessation of passenger traffic) or January 1963 when the branch was reopened in order to serve villages that were cut off by road.

Leyburn viewed looking west. The snowplough train stands at the down platform while gangers clear the turntable access road. G5 0-4-4T 67345 resides on shed.

Lastly, and smallest, but definitely not least, Roger Marler's exhibited a number of his impressive building models.

Bayleaf Cottage, a 15th century Medieval cruck framed Yeoman farmer’s house. The original is located at the Weald and Downland Museum West Sussex, England. The model is built from Scale spruce, Basswood, Balsa, Bristol board

Both of these buildings in this diorama are fictitious but exemplify southern England architecture at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The Bat & Ball pub has pebble dash (Stucco) finished walls and is typical of a pub in rural England. The roofing is clay tile. The Bed & Breakfast has brick walling in Flemish Bond with a unique 2 storey bay window clad in lead. The roof is of an early Mansard/Gambrel design finished in asbestos tiling. (Dangerous but not uncommon)
