West Coast Fishing Adventure at Wayne's

When new fishing spots are needed and you are thinking West Coast,

Winter Harbour is the place.

We met Wayne at a trade show in 2003 and booked a charter to go fishing the West coast for the first time in our lives.

Having in the past our own boat on the salt water. We were no strangers to fishing salt water but only on the inside coast

between Vancouver and Port Hardy, and the inlets on our mainland coast.

Having seen the decline in our fishery, we were surprised to hear of being guaranteed to catch Springs Salmon, Halibut, Coho,

Lingcod and Red Snapper, and were some what sceptical, but it was the truth, not just a sale's pith.

An other big plus, Fishing starts 30 minutes from the dock and you are not traveling half the day to get to the fishing hole.

The nice part of all is the fact one can drive right up to the lodge.

It makes the trip more affordable and one can make it a more of a holiday.

The Island Highway is easy to drive and the last 80 k are on good gravel road.

Next will show a few pictures of some daily catches.
