Architecture, Series 1: 1989-92
A1-01.gif (11335 bytes)In 1989, a series on Historic Canadian Architecture began, eventually replacing the previous National Parks definitives. Only three values were issued over all, but each had BABN and CBN printings. There are two types of CBN printings for the $1 and $2 values. The printings from the two companies are easily identified when examining single stamps. It is interesting to note that the second CBN printing seems to have characteristics similar to those of the BABN printing. These are described and illustrated below the checklist. The two different gum types on the $2 stamps can be difficult to distinguish, but the BABN printing appears to be more transparent when viewed face down on a white surface.
