The Tale of the Christmas Fairies

The timeless call.
The timeless woman of winter
called the fairies forth,
she blew the winds that heralded the
the drawing near of the celebration.

Swinging on ropes of snowflakes
Swinging on ropes of snowflakes and silver threads.
From the deep woods they came.
Following the tinkle of bells that filled
the air this Christmas time.
The tinkle of bells was heard

They gathered the berries
And they gathered the boughs

Gathering boughs of berries and pine,
 lingering scent of the woods.
They arranged their forest gifts
on the mantle of time.

Gathering the holly and the berries
Bringing the season to the children

They brought the children
the sum of their lives, the sweet
memories of  days in the woods.
Driven by the call of the season.

Climbing to her rightful place, the top of the tree.
The Christmas Fairy flew into the tree
and found her usual spot close to
the top of the upper-most branch.

And once there, she glowed, like she always did,
and like she always will.
For it's Christmas time.

I hope you enjoyed the tale of the Christmas Fairies.
May your Christmas be joyous.
