AWANA INTERNATIONAL CANADA

We meet at Calvary Baptist Church every Tuesday beginning in the week after school starts in September, excluding school holidays. Our club winds down at the end of April, with Awards presentations on the first Tuesday in May. Parents are welcome to sit in to observe any or all portions of club activities.

This is how our Awana club works:

Each week before 6:00 pm your child will check in at the front table. They will be asked if they have their Bible, uniform and dues. They will also be asked if they attended Sunday School this week. At 6:00 pm we sing Oh Canada, our Awana Theme Song, say our Awana cheer, and pray.

After song time and a Bible lesson in the yellow room upstairs, the groups split up according to age; T&T, grades 3-6, return to the main floor for games, while Sparks, K - grade 2, remain upstairs for handbooks, which includes Bible memory and activities. Another transition takes place, allowing the younger clubbers to play games, while the older clubbers memorize verses and Bible facts.

Just before 8:00 pm awards for the evening are given out,as well as team prizes for the highest score. Usually teams win by the most sections said, so it can really help your children if you take the time to work on the handbook through the week.

Visitor forms for Calvary Baptist Church Awana Clubs may be filled out at the first Awana meeting your child attends. Further information is required if your child wishes to register. You may drop in any week, but your child will benefit from continued attendance.
