The Coast Plaza Hotel is the location again in 2005. Make sure to book your room early at 1403 248-8888 and Mention the Calgary Dance Stampede to get the special room rate of $104.00 a night. The Coast Plaza is located on the corner of 16th Ave and 36th St. N.E. and yes they do offer a shuttle from the Calgary International Airport.

FRIDAY WORKSHOPS

You’re going to get some of the best instructors from near and far for an evening of workshops geared for dancers of all levels. The Gold Pass Includes these the Master Classes. They will be running from 4pm till 9pm on Friday evening, with three classes running simultaneously. *Click on the Dance Stampede web page for updates on Schedules for workshops and competitions.

VIDEO NOTEBOOK

The Calgary Dance Stampede has decided not to offer a Video notebook this year. Each instructor will allow you to tape a couple minute review at the end of the workshop if you bring your own video camera.

The exchange rate is in your favor if you live south of the 49th parallel! Every $1 US = $1.27 (approximately) With savings like that, The Dance Stampede is too good of a value to pass up. Also, all major airlines have regular flights to the Calgary International Airport.

COMPETITION

UCWDC COMPETITION

We will be offering all UCWDC divisions in *Couples, Pro-Am/ Pro-Pro, Line Dance, and Teams competition.* First through Fifth place will be awarded for all divisions as per UCWDC rules. Check under Schedules to find out when your division is being offered. Competitors must purchase a weekend pass in order to compete in any division.

As per the new 2005 rules couples that dance in the Age divisions of Crystal, Diamond, Silver and Gold in Couples, Line dance or Pro Am may choose to dance across to the Open Adult Division of an equal level and dance both divisions at the same competition. We are very excited about this because it gives the competitors the opportunity to dance more than once in a weekend with the same routines.

UCWDC Division Competitors Must have their Registration and Payment sent to us NO later than Friday April 1, 2005.

CAMPFIRE SHOW

Fantastic lineup of Performances, followed by dancing into the late hours of the evening. Show seating will be reserved on a “first-registered, best–seated” basis, so get your registration in today! In 2004 we had a the highest level of country dancing in our show, the Masters Competition which was extremely entertaining for the crowd and we are planning another one. You will want to get your tickets early for this one.

		JACK AND JILL All you have to do is sign up and get on the floor. We will partner you up, then you strut your stuff. Sign up sheets will be posted at the registration desk. Make sure you don’t miss the most entertaining competition of the weekend. The Champions Jack and Jill Finale!
