Sunshine Coast Hostel is situated on Texada Island, adjacent to the Sunshine Coast in Georgia Straight, 80 km north of VANCOUVER. The Island of Texada is accessible by a 35 minute ferry ride from Powell River or by plane landing on the 3000 foot paved runway near Gillies Bay.

K.D. Air offers several daily flights from Vancouver International Airport to Gillies Bay airport on Texada Island. The scenic flight is about 30min. and costs about $125 (Can.). Flight schedules and bookings are available at:

The hostel is about a 20 minute walk from the airport. Pickup can also be arranged at the time of booking.
