The Blacksheep have been involved with Scorched Earth Xtreme over the summer on a few events. The current venture is the Iwo Jima campaign which is flown every Saturday night at 10PM EDT sharp. Four missions have been completed with great success except for the loss of one of our carriers in mission 3. As our Battle Groups steam ever closer to the small island fortress, things will only get hotter as we prepare for invasion day!

A nice addtion to our events has been coordinating Carrier Qualifications (CQ) training with our allied partners in SE Xtreme. A real interest on how carrier operations were actually conducted has enhanced the realism and emersion in the Iwo campaign. It was a nice opportunity to show other great squadrons in the community what it looks like to fly REAL formation. Nothing but praise for the Blacksheep from our friends in regards to our team flying skills.

The Blacksheep have added a few more to its fold in the last month or so. Welcome aboard to Target, Winchester, Hitcher, Duty-Cat, and Chaplain-Crash. In addition, welcome back to Dedman after being away on extended leave from PC Flight Sims.

Special thanks to Vainspark, Budman, and Seca for supplying the Blacksheep with 2 servers to fly on in Hyperlobby. You can find them as BSS_Blacksheep and Blacksheep's Pen. One will be used for squadron training sessions, and internal team/wingman tournaments while the other will be set up to host the community in Hyperlobby with a number of missions to enjoy.

With one of the newest additions in the Sheep's Pen of the SEOW's administrator - BSS_Hitcher, the squadron has really taken a nose-dive into Scorched Earth by flying it first mission last Saturday night. Things will really begin to heat up as our Battle Group (CVBG) closes in on Guadalcanal. 8 pilots flew the first mission, and more are sure to join in as things begin to heat up! Another quarter of CQ has come to a close. BSS_Charles takes the Top Hook Award for the July 06 to Sept 06 quartrer with a Boarding Rate of 97%. Congrats Charles on a job well done.

This new quarters CQ stats have been updated with all sessions upto July 25. There has not been enough traps made to present a Top Hook Award since last September, we have until the end of September 2006 to get those traps in to qualify for this quarter. The BSS has had a few promotions in the past week, BSS_Boxer has taken the Assistant Operations Officer position which comes with the rank of Captain. BSS_Seca has been selected as the new Training Officer with a rank of Major. And last but not least, BSS_Aijo has been promoted to 1rst Lieutenant. Please give your congrats to these fine BSS members. Well done all and thank-you. The roster has been updated to include these promotions.

It has been awhile again since the last update (again). We have finished another CQ Quarter and there was not enough traps submitted to qualify for a Top Hook Award. The Greenieboard has been updated. There are still 19 days left to get those traps in for the first quarter 2006 report.

It has been awhile again since the last update. We have finished another CQ Quarter and have a tie for the Top Hook Award. Congrats to BSS_Spooky and BSS_Charles for their fine trappings. The Greenieboard has been reset for the next quarter October 1 to December 31.

The roster has been updated to include BSS_Demons profile.

There are some old members that have come back and joined our roster again. I'd like to welcome back BSS_Falcon and BSS_WildECoyote to the squadron. Falcon and Wild are both founding members from when the squad was formed back in 2000. The roster has been updated to reflect our newest members.

It has been another month since I have updated the site, if anyone has some news or items of interest to place here, please email them to bss_staff@yahoo.com and I'll see that they get on ASAP.

Please welcome BSS_Duper to the squadron, I haven't met him personally but I'm sure he is a great addition to the BSS.

The screenshot area is full, but it can be updated if anyone has a few extra pennies to spend. We can upgrade the service to remove the advertising and have unlimited storage for $54.95 CDN$ per year. The reason I like this service, is it allows everyone to upload their screenies which take alot of the work out of it for me. If anyone has leads for something better (ie. FREE) please let me know. I have checked out some other services, but having the all users able to upload option I haven't found.

We have moved the site now to a new provider and will be getting the skins back up shortly for download. The screenshots are still under consideration on what I'd like to do with that, I'm thinking spending the few dollars where they are and getting rid of the ads and increasing the space for them. It is nice because it has the visitor upload option, which makes it alot easier to admin.

BSS_Lolsav directed me to a service yesterday that will help out with the TeamSpeak IP issue. If the TS IP changes again, the new service will automatically adjust the IP at their end, so you will still be able to connect. In the server address field in teamspeak place bss214.servebeer.com instead of the server IP numbers. Use that to connect and you will always be directed to our TS server. Thank-you Lolsav.
