The Blacksheep have officially made the change from IL2: 1946 to IL2: Cliffs of Dover as their primary Flight Sim. As members purchase the sim and make upgrades to their systems, we look forward to seeing more members on-line now that the sim has finally hit the shelves. Rise of Flight and/or the Iron Cross edition , and DCS: A-10C Warthog are also strongly suggested for squadron alternate on-line flight ops. 24 December , 2010
Tis the season once again! The Black Sheep Squadron would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas time. ~Laura Ingalls Wilder 24 April , 2010
The Black Sheep Squadron has upgraded to Teamspeak 3 for their primary voice communications. You can connect to the server at IP 24.64.239.67 Port 9987 PW 24coop. The TS2 server will remain running as a backup. We are also getting the Greenieboard up and running again and would like start doing so CQ work again to get some numbers up for this quarter April 1st to June 30th. Remember you need at least 2 members doing traps to be able to post the numbers. This is not for confirmation, but for the whole purpose of doing CQ. Using proper communication and procedures during the CQ Training period. Hard tro have an interval with only 1 aircraft in the pattern. I would suggest everyone bone up on CQ procedures and do some review of the BSS CQ guide. You can find it here -> BSS CQ Guide If you need the CQ moving carrier mission please email bss_staff at yahoo dot com or bss_stootn at yahoo dot ca and we'll get that sent out to you asap! 30 October , 2009
HAPPY 10th ANNIVERSARY BLACKSHEEP!!!! Once a Blacksheep, Always a Blacksheep! 25 December , 2008
May the Christmas season
fill your home with joy,
your heart with love
and your life with laughter. 14 July , 2008 It's been a slow winter, slower spring, and even slower summer 2008. Some of our most active members have taken an extensive leave to actualy make a living as pilots in the airline industry, rendering squadron activity down to nill-to-none. As these members become active again after their initial training with their respective companies is completed, we hope to see other members step up and spend more time flying on-line. With the anticipated wait of the new Battle of Britain, and the new Korean War sim using the BoB graphics engine; we're anticipating a steady rise in squadron participation to enjoy new challenges and even deeper enhancement and immersion into the Combat Flight Sim arena. Please check the roster page for updates to members and profiles to see what your fellow Blacksheep look like. |
