Web Design for Instruction - I designed this site as an master's project in instructional design. This web site presents research-based guidelines for various aspects of web design. It also includes links to many exemplary sites which contain tutorials on web site creation such as webdeveloper.com, builder.com, zdnet.com, useit.com.
Visual Design for Instructional Multimedia - this site was a shareware site but is now a place to order a CD-ROM based hyperbook which explains many aspects of visual design for creating multimedia.
Web Page Design for Designers - this site deals with design issues but also includes a lot of useful information including web rulers for designing web pages useful in any browser.
Yale Web Style Guide - this guide is an extensive collection of recommendations for web page and site design.
