DAVID USHER BRINGS HIS BLACK BLACK HEART TO CANADIAN CITIES Author: Erik Missio Now that Alone In The Universe has captured two nominations for the 2001 MuchMusic Video Awards, as well as spots on the playlists of every new rock and Top 30 radio station in the country, David Usher is preparing to drop his latest single, Black Black Heart on Sept 4. Astute ChartAttack readers have already gotten the skinny on the song's video from M&M, but more information about the single has been revealed. There will be three different versions of the song. On one version some guy named Jeff Martin, who also moonlights as the frontman for a band called The Tea Party, assisted in the creation of the hard rock mix. The song features his production, mixing and guitar work. The Morning Orbit artist won't be around long to enjoy watching his video in heavy rotation, though. In just two short weeks, the Moist singer will be leaving the House of Usher to embark on a cross-Canada tour. Opening up for the singer-songwriter is K-Os, who'll be bringing his acoustic brand of hip-hop to the masses. What's K-OS' sound actually like? No less a musical authority than ChartAttack's M&M declared it "intelligent." Although a few more dates for October will be announced shortly, Usher will be following up his Canadian tour by attacking a certain country south of the border. Thailand. Yep, Usher will be heading to South East Asia to promote the disc after he wraps up here, so catch him while you can at the following gigs:
