I've got a love-hate thing going with Moist - I love to hate them and I hate to love them.

And now comes this, the first solo album from the sensitive, flowery-voiced frontman David Usher.

Using a minimalist blend of light folk and modern rhythm, he grapples with deep ideas and personal issues (too personal at times) on an occasionally interesting, sometimes haunting album.

It'll be a good challenge for Moist fans. As for the love-hate thing, I still can't decide.
