Acrylic   Acrylic paint on canvas is fast-drying, and, while it may be hard sometimes to tell the difference between acrylic and oil, some techniques are easier in acrylic. For example, I use a technique called "glazing" in many of my paintings, and acrylic allows me to reduce waiting times from days to an hour or two between layers. There is also an intensity to the colours that fascinates me.
Oil   The classic medium of oil allows time for thought and contemplation in painting. You never have to worry about the paint drying while you think about what you're doing! The colours are rich, and meld on canvas in veils of interweaving hues.
Watercolor   Watercolours can be delicate, a whisper in your ear, or they can be intense and bold, with vibrant passages.
Drawings   There is an energy in life drawing, when art is reduced to just the paper and a pencil, and the quickness of the artists eye. It's sometimes a challenge to capture movement and emotion in drawing, but when it happens, there is nothing finer.
