Carl
Haas commissioned the first 1:5 scale model, which was built in 1994 of
Nigel's 1993 Championship car. The model still sits in the
reception
of the Newman/Haas race factory. When you're a small family
operation like us, it's a very proud moment when you finally complete a
new project, particularly one this big. That pride ..quite
evident in this picture of my Son Bill, after our all night session to
finish this model.
The
original, seen here, carried the #5. At the request
of Mr. Haas, this was removed, and replaced with the "Red 1" livery, that
Nigel run with in the 1994 race season. |
