very proud moment for my wife Elza and myself. This was in
the 1993 Vancouver Molson Indy .... Newman/Haas .... hospitality area,
at the time of the model plaque signing, with a countryman of ours ...
Nigel Mansell.
1993
was a very busy, but exciting year for us, as we'd decided to launch our
Limited Edition build of 1:10 scale models of the Nigel Mansell 1993 PPG
Indy Car Championship car. Our plan was to build 16 "numbered"
models, signed by both Nigel and Carl, one model for each of the 16 races
in the 1993 season,
and
20 "un-numbered" signed models, to be built later.
Although
at that time, we had clients in Canada, the U.S. and Japan, who would take
all the models of the "Red 5" we could build, our commitment to the
teams themselves, did not allow us to build any more than that original
16 models. One day, we hope to be able to complete the 20 (un-numbered)
models. |
