Welcome to Bridge Construction Engineers, an online learning project designed to help you learning about the design and construction of bridges through the creation and testing of models.

Teachers and/or parents should be sure to visit the "For Teachers" section to learn about the educational design of this project.

Students, get set to become bridge engineers! You will need to work through the projects by following the steps in the menu above, which includes:

- engineering alternative designs to meet the same needs as your researched bridge;

- select the best design and then constructing a miniature model of your final design;

- testing your model to failure; and

- reporting the results of your test to the bridge database so other bridge engineers can view your work!

Throughout the site you will see key words displayed as links.  These are glossary terms which will be further explained if you click on them.  Enjoy!
