I get an inordinate amount of SPAM. Much of it deals with a certain potency drug; I'm disturbed and annoyed by this.
One way in which these vile jerks get email addresses is by scanning web sites for <mailto:> tags. To try and deal with this, I include my new email address in the follwing fashion.
boatguygarbage@shaw.ca
Take out the garbage to get my real email address.
I know that this is a pain, but I've just about had it with the number of advertisements for Viagra, cheap mortgages and porn sites that would embarass a sailor. I hope this deals with at least some of my spam problems. Now I only hope my ISP doesn't do something stupid like sell their client list..........
