Brave Badi

An unruly youth of seventeen, rebellious, but did they understand

He was longing for a truth, all-encompassing to free the spirit of all mankind.

From a droplet to a sea, you gave all of your life, so graciously!

Really brave Badi, O what a deed that you achieved!

Badi had a wonderful capacity, he believed in man's true nobility.

He'd sacrifice everything, to see God's Light shine eternally.

Dear Pride of Martyrs, and the Salt of God's Tablets, amazingly!

How did you succeed? O brilliant Badi, it was your destiny!

When he heard of Baha'u'llah, his sole desire was to meet with Him.

He traveled on foot for great distances, and attained the presence of the Prisoner King.

Chorus 3: Badi, O brave Badi, O Badi!

You gave up your whole life, the Love of Baha'u'llah did suffice!

You keep the Mystic Goal in sight, assisted with power, confirmed with might!

Filled with ecstasy and joyous gratitude, Badi reached the highest plane of certitude.

So great was the trust Baha'u'llah had in him, He gave him a Message to deliver to the King. (Chorus 1)

From the fortress of Akka, from out of the night, with heart afire, Badi carried that Light.

He took Baha'u'llah's Tablet to the Persian King, fearlessly bearing God's Revelation. (Chorus 1) (Chorus 2)

That illumined youth traveled in the desert sun, alone and steadfast, he walked for several months.

He prayed and fasted three days in Tihran, then he offered the Message to the Persian King. (Chorus 1)

They arrested Badi, cause they knew where he'd been. To believe in Baha'u'llah was then condemned.

They branded and beat him for three days on end, crushed his head, then were thru with him. (Chorus 1)

8.

But the Message of Baha'u'llah couldn't be ignored. The Light of Faith opened every heart, every door.

Souls were enkindled when they heard about Badi, this courageous youth won the greatest victory. (Chorus 2)

9.

The king received the Tablet from Baha'u'llah. Challenged he was by the Glory of God.

He was told to wear the crown of justice, and to hearken unto a New Message. (Chorus 1) (Chorus 3)

10.

Badi spoke with great eloquence, when he delivered the Great Message.

He raised the banner of light and life, before the eyes of all humankind. (Chorus 1) (Chorus 2)
