The second test version
Just stripped the sink from the mold. Looks okay, just a few bug holes.

Corner broke off when I dropped it. Good thing this is not the real deal yet.

Closeup of the countetop and sink rim. Rim is a little coarse, but this is partly because I beat up on it too much extracting from the mold.

The drain fits nicely in its place, but the back side isn't so pretty, or functional. Still work to do on this aspect.

To extract the bowl mold from the sink, I squirted a little WD-40 into a small separation that I developed between the bowl and the concrete sink. It seemed to leave a nice sheen, so I squited the whole think afterward. Probably shouldn't have.

Okay, here I'm preparing for the third trial run. The components of the drain system are laid out. The drain itself at the bottom, with a layer of plumbers putty adhering it to the mold. The ring of 1-1/4" ABS and a coupler, and the rubber gasket.

Better detail view of the drain piece. On a real sink, it would be on top of the bowl mold. The layer of putty will be replaced by a gasket in the assembled sink, an will be on the other side of the drain flange.
