Good Neighbour
Day 2011!
The 14th annual Good Neighbour Day event was
another success. Thank you to all the
volunteers who made it happen!
The GND
Parade was as popular as ever with lots of clowns and circus animals in the
line up. Thank you to the District of Vancouver Fire Department, the North Van
RCMP and RCMP Auxillary, North Vancouver District
Council Mike Little, Lisa Muri and Mayor Richard
Walton, the Tim Hortons Community Van and the West
Vancouver Youth Band for attending. Many of our favourite personalities and
activities returned, including Bell E Button the Clown, Laughing Stock Pony
Rides, Mad Science, PartyWorks Interactive and Yukon
Dan. Four Blueridge
youth were showcased in an inspiring display of talent: Olivia
Steele-Falconer - Grade 5, Hannah Winterhalder-Berg - Grade 4, Ariel
Kanegae - Grade 6 and Brody Bigwood
- Kindergarten. Highrise Lonesome
and Soren’s School of Hop also entertained the crowd.
Thank you to the Lions Gate Rotary Club for cooking a hot dog lunch and Lauren
and Perry Gorgounis for the gyros sandwiches. And finally thank you to all of our GND
Silent Auction sponsors, a list of which will be posted soon.
