Please read my rules & FAQ regarding my layouts if you are unsure about my policy regarding theft. I consider there to be a huge difference between using imagery from popular media for graphics than there is to take something that you know it's right to take and then claim you made it. Artwork from books or popular shows and comics, like the image in this layout, the artist was paid to make, and naturally is going to be used over and over again. Fanart however, like my layouts and graphics, were made at somebody's leisure for their own amusement and for others to enjoy, and are NOT for public reproduction. It's not okay to take other people's drawings and say they are yours, and layouts and graphics aren't any different. I don't claim to have drawn the picture in this layout, but everything else is mine unless stated otherwise. Just because something is available for viewing on the internet doesn't make it a public resource. You'd feel the same way if you worked for hours on something and then found somebody else saying that they made it.

This page is dedicated to people who think it's okay to steal from other people just because the work is online, or that they can try to take credit for somebody elses hard work and not get caught. It's very rude to steal anything from anybody, but when somebody donates their hardwork and asks for nothing in return except for some recognition, that person deserves recognition, as well as some respect and gratitude. I've done a lot for people: I've been donating icons for years, and layouts free of charge. These things take time and effort. I never ask for anything except for acknowledgement that the work is mine. This is how you repay me?

You should always ask before basing your own layout on anothers coding.

Thief of the month: Got_R1c3, who has several dozen other names. Her offence is not only theft, but harassment, impersonation, and stalking. Joy!

This sort of thing will eventually drive me into shutting down the community permanently and I won't share my layouts with ANYBODY. In the end, everyone has to suffer. I work very hard on the things I make, and ask for nothing in return except for some recognition and respect. I donate MY time and efforts to share things with complete strangers, I don't have to, but I do.
