Great source of news, video productions and photos of the developing world.  A visit to this site is highly recommended.

Very good reference site for economic issues of globalization.  One should really read the article on the Causes of Poverty by Anup Shah.

Ecological Footprint Quiz

There are many of these Carbon Footprint type sites.  This one really drives home the impact of our interaction with the environment.  The conclusion of the quiz tells us how many earths are needed to sustain our lifestyle.

JIBJAB: Big Box Mart

Satirical website.  This link is a  good satirical music video about Big Box Stores, outsourcing sweatshops and consumerism.

FreeRice

Feed the world.  This site allows you to play a game.  With each correct answer you  win rice that will be donated to the UN Food Program.

Idealist.org

This site has everything  you need to get socially active!  It is a project of “Action without borders”. It is an interactive site where organization and individuals can share resources in their efforts to bring a better quality of life to all people.  Make sure you check out their Teacher Connection.
