The north side of the river is generally more interesting than the south. This is my favorite route. The roads from 280th to Sylvester Rd are among the best in the Lower Mainland. If you want a longer day, visit Harrison Lake (for an ice-cream cone) or explore Hemlock Valley (for more good roads).
If your bike doesn't faint at the sight of gravel, check out Rolley Lake for a swim. It is one of the warmest lakes in the Lower Mainland. Those more hardy might consider Hayward Lake (at Stave Falls). Just remember to check the water before diving in... :))
