Alouette Lake Run
Comments:
Alouette Lake is a popular ride albeit somewhat short. You're on your own for getting there. Consider the Albion ferry from Fort Langley or meander along the north side of Pitt Meadows for a change in scenery.
The lake is an excellent picnic area. The water is cool but not too bad if the weather is hot enough (or the kids young enough).
The road inside Golden Ears Provincial park is great for learners. It has a good mixture of curves and straights that can be taken at whatever speed feels comfortable. The curves set up nicely for both low speed and high speed practice. And if you really mess up a corner there is usually room to run off the road and still stay upright. The traffic is low during mid-week.
