Meditation BooksI have my favorite meditation books as others surely do. I believe that it is one thing to be able to browse through websites and get information but it is very hard to sit for a couple hours reading pagefuls of information. I have always found it more relaxing and even more effective to pull out a book and after getting rid of any distractions to just sit and read. Here are the outlines for three books and the reasons that I purchased them . Meditation by Bill Anderton This was my first meditation book as it was really cheap. The book covers Mind and Body and how meditation works. Chapter two covers first steps in doing your first meditations. Chapter three covers using images and sound during your meditation and Chapter four covers the more spiritual aspects of meditation. This is really a great book and it only takes a few hours to read as it is only 128 pages but the info is great! Simple Meditation by Anna Voigt This is another really cheap book that was bought for me by my wife. This book is one of the new style of very colorful books with colored text and drawings throughout. This book also covers all of the basics including breathing, Yoga principles, using sounds, aromas, visualization colors movement and also has a special section on traditional meditations as well as incorporating meditation into a busy day. Book of meditation by Chris Jarmey This is a much larger book than the other two and is also really good. The book basically covers all of the issues of the two other books but also covers Japa meditation, Chakras and Daoist meditations. This book goes a little more into the spirituality of meditation than my other books and is a really good book for rounding out the knowledge of the whys and hows of meditation and religion. • Books By Julian Lee.
