The Tree

This resilient Douglas Fir stands tall on the homestead of Karl and Esther Swanson located in the Slocan Valley of southeastern British Columbia Canada.

Withstanding the tests of time, including lightning, wind storms, drought, floods, disease, logging, and forest fires, this big fir towers above all the trees it shares the forest with.

In the Slocan Valley this tree is known as a lone wolf. It is the source of much wonder, inspiration, and awe. May we ever be so bold.
