BACKGROUND: 
A recent transfer to the St. Ives Academy, Slagg is a very troubled youth. Cursed with a large, ungainly body made of fused metals, Slagg shies away from social contact as much as he can to bury himself in the world of computers. He is possessed of a nasty temper, and has been known to fly into beserk rages when he feels he is being picked upon. Much of this behavious can apparently be traced back to a period he spent being 'recruited' by the Winterbourne Institute.

Like computers, distrusts the government.

MOTIVATION: 
Eugene regards his physical form as a "curse", and would reverse it if he could. Barring that, he wants to help people, because "no-one should have to suffer like I did".

TACTICS: 
Slagg possesses less self-discipline than his fellow students, and has the unfortunate tendency to lose control when he thinks he is being picked on. Slow and unmaneuverable, he nevertheless possesses remarkable physical strength and toughness.

- took part in the match between the students of the Academy and the Knights of the Coast in February, 2001. Lost control and went after Sub-Zero (who had repeatedly locked him up within blocks of ice during the match) after the match and had to be forcibly subdued. He apologized for this incident when he had calmed down.

- interviewed to become an intern with the Knights, and toured with Phoenix.
